I’d like to take a minute here to address the do-it-yourself crowd right now as well. If you are the type of person who prefers to do most things on your own, I will arm you with some advice on what to look for. I would first suggest a google search using the keywords termite mud tubes, Kalamazoo, and portage, MI. Doing this search will bring up images of damage and things that you can look for when doing your own termite inspections. Inspecting and finding the termites is half of the battle and unfortunately it’s probably the only part a homeowner should attempt themselves. If you get to the point where you find termites in the home, there is really no fix I can recommend a homeowner to do themselves. The amount of product and work involved with treating termites is extensive and if any portion of it is done incorrectly you have jeopardized the whole treatment.
