Hello From Scott Thrasher & VexGuard

After years working for a large national pest control company, Scott Thrasher saw a clear gap in the Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and Southwest Michigan pest control market. Too often, customers were treated like just another number, with one-size-fits-all solutions that didn’t fully solve their pest problems — especially when it came to ants, carpenter ants, pavement ants, and other persistent pests.

Scott knew West Michigan families and businesses deserved better. That’s why he founded VexGuard Pest Control: to provide honest, personalized, and reliable pest control services tailored to each customer’s unique needs.

The journey wasn’t easy. Creating a brand that reflected both his pest control experience and his background in security and law enforcement took time. After countless ideas, Scott settled on the name “VexGuard” — a symbol of protection and dedication to keeping homes pest-free across Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and surrounding Southwest Michigan.

What Scott didn’t expect was how quickly word spread. His hands-on approach, friendly service, and honest recommendations resonated with local customers. People appreciated having a technician who not only eliminated pests like carpenter ants and pavement ants but who also took the time to explain each step.

Soon, VexGuard Pest Control became a household name throughout Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and Southwest Michigan — not through flashy ads, but through real customer recommendations. Word-of-mouth referrals from happy clients grew the business faster than any marketing campaign could have.
