Hi, I’m Scott. Texas Corners is the crossroads of Q Avenue, Texas Drive and 8th Street, the center of the township. Within a couple of miles you have Crooked Lake, Eagle Lake, Pine Island Lake, Duck Lake and Pretty Lake. Lake homes, wooded lots and a fast drive from Kalamazoo make this one of my busiest areas.
Mosquitoes around the lakes and wetlands
Several of the lakes here have no outlet, and there’s wetland between them. Water sits in low spots after rain, and in wet years the lakes can come up into yards. That’s a lot of mosquito habitat close to decks and docks. Yard treatments every 21 days, April through September, aimed at the shady shrubs and shoreline brush, make evenings outside a lot better.
Carpenter ants and a high water table

Ticks and spiders on wooded lake lots
Big trees and brushy shorelines hold ticks along the yard edge, and lake-facing siding and docks collect spiders that feed on the insects coming off the water. A perimeter and eave treatment handles the spiders; a yard-edge treatment handles the ticks.
